Sean -- So are you down to 155 now? Was wondering how you see that weight class as different than your old one, and whether you think you have given up much in terms of strength to cut down. I'll bet you can offer some good tips on cutting weight without running out of gas at the gym, too.

I'm making my first cut next weekend so I can get a feel for what it's going to feel like before the fight. I'm still experimenting with some diet stuff.

Made the cut on Friday to 155, I felt like shit cutting the last 5 pounds but recovered well. I was back up to 173 by the next day and 177 that night, fighting at 155 is going to be great!!!

Wow...I thought you were going to really drop some weight and then cut the rest. I've read that you usually walk around at 175-180, and had assumed that you'd drop down to maybe 165-168 and then cut the rest in water weight. Awesome...you're just throw these light-weights around like rag dolls.

I'm eating around 4,000 calories a day to maintian that weight so I can fight at 170, just by me dropping my calories to around 2500 a day I dropped to 170 and felt great my cardio is off the hook. I think all the eating and too many calories/carbs was dragging me down a little.
The last 5 pounds came off hard, about 1 hr 45 min in and out of the sauna. Now that I have more time I'll make the cut again about 7 weeks out and it should be easier this time around.
